Manage and lead the resources on shift to meet safety, environmental, production, quality, and cost goals of the manufacturing area and the mill. Crew safety including safety education and training as well as resolution of safety issues and unsafe conditions. Training and development of crew members. Manage productivity and performance including quality and environmental compliance. Coordinating problem resolution including process and mechanical issues. Work as a team with crew, peers, and supervisors. BS degree in a technical field. Must lead/manage people and deal with personnel issues. Possess good communication skills. Have a working knowledge of batch digesters, brownstock washing, bleach-plant operations, and chlorine dioxide generator. Must have an understanding of the safety and environmental obligations of a mill operations. Should have an understanding of the business aspects of the mill. Be self-motivated and interested in continuous growth and development. Understand mill's influence on overall mill and company performance.
